Burkina Faso holds a special place in our hearts. It is a land of warmth, depth, beauty, and profound human connection. Over the years, we have built meaningful friendships there with people who have opened the doors to their spiritual traditions and welcomed us into their communities with generosity and care.
Our time in Burkina Faso has never been about tourism. It has been about the relationship. It has been about listening, learning, sharing, and walking alongside those who carry ancient ways of understanding the world. The friendships formed there are real, lasting, and deeply valued.
We stand with Burkina Faso in its growth and sovereignty. Every nation has the right to move in alignment with its own direction, needs, and timing. We honor that fully.
At this time, there has been a temporary shift in visa policies, and the country is not issuing visas to American citizens. Because of this, we will discontinue our spiritual journeys to Burkina Faso for the time being. This decision is based solely on current travel realities and not on our connection to the people, the land, or the work that has taken place there.
Those who already hold valid visas will continue to be welcomed in accordance with the guidelines in place.
More than anything, I want to speak personally. My last group trip to Burkina Faso was beautiful. At no point did I feel fear. Everywhere I went, I felt welcomed, supported, and surrounded by kindness. The people we met were open-hearted and generous in spirit.
The stories that often travel across distance do not always reflect lived experience. What I carry is the memory of laughter, learning, ceremony, conversation, and human warmth.
While this chapter pauses, the relationships remain. The gratitude remains. The connection remains.
We send love and appreciation to the people of Burkina Faso, to the communities that welcomed us, and to the friendships that continue beyond borders.
This is not an ending. It is a pause shaped by circumstance. When paths open again, we will listen.
Until then, we carry the lessons, the memories, and the bonds forward with care.
